Re: Fly Tying Magazine recomendations
Well, I subscribed to Fly Fishing and Fly Tying out of the UK. Turns out to be about $7.50 an issue. I thought the subscription was for 3 issues, turns out it's for 12. The April issue has an article on spiders. Looking forward to getting my first issue.

Re: Fly Tying Magazine recomendations
I'm going to give Fly Tyer another go. They got a bit wonky the last couple of years, and like Roadkill, I found very little to get enthused about. Dave Klausmeyer has vacated the Big chair, so maybe some fresh blood will perk it up. I read the Drake, but that isn't about tying. I tried Fly Fusion ...

Fly Tying Magazine recomendations
I'm looking to subscribe to a fly tying magazine. I really enjoyed Steven Bird's magazine, which is no more. When I first got into tying several years ago I subscribed to several, but they leaned mostly toward dry flies. Looking to see if anyone here knows of a magazine that to pampers toward wets a...

Re: SOFT~ HACKLE JOURNAL
I got mine today. Bummer that it is the last, but I get it.
Just curious, had this publication been going on for more than 1 year? I googled it and saw some articles from older issues. Wished I had known about it earlier, if was being published longer.

Re: Greenwell Spiders
I saw two recipes for the thread. One was for Green like I used. The other recipe called for Primrose. Which do you use?
I use waxed yellow Ephemera silk. I got my recipe from John Shaner. I'm sure he uses Pearsall, I don't have any. By the time I got into it Pesrsall was long gone...

New book for me - Salmonia, Sir Humphrey Davy
I read a PDF version several years ago and have wanted a physical copy since. This is the Derrydale Press version. It's mint, doesn't look like it has been read. Glad to add this to my library. Just finishing reading A Summer On The Test. I got this a couple weeks ago. It's a paperback, but still gl...
