A couple of Spey attempts.
Working on winging and proportions. Wings are long. Tying wings forward then folding back at the end on the top one. The second is tied in with normal orientation. Learning a lot.

Tying in hand works a different part of your brain or something. I an trying it on some bigger flies. I started it by accident when I forgot my vise clamp while traveling.

I recently was traveling and forgot my vise base. I needed to tie some jigs for my brother in law. I tied them in hand and kind of liked it.
