I think that is a beautiful one. And you pin down an important point,that, in part, any pattern can be stated mathematically, and this leads to consistently good ties. Yes, Mike, the problem I find now is that things are scattered over multiple threads.

In reading through various sections, the thought has o occurred to me, several times, that a new section called “Tools of the Trade” would be useful.
It could have subsections for vises, bobbins, scissors, etc.

After looking around a bit, I found the Windsor Newton varnish is about $3 cheaper than at the art stores.
That Wapsi applicator looks neat, but not at the $9.49 Bass Pro Shop wants, or the $8.50 from Orvis.
Flymasters.com sells it for $1.99.
