Re: Day Drinking Caddis and beer review.

It was a different world pre-winter Olympics, for sure. SLC was a small town, in feeling when we lived there, while now, it is just another city. I worked in the VA hospital while at the Univ, and as soon as all the breakfast cleanup was completed, all those nice LDS ladies would grab a cup of coffe...

Re: Union

More than 50 years ago, when I was a poor student at the University of Utah, the guys at the Aviary in Pioneer Park would save me Feathers they picked up while working..

Re: Caddis Fun

There is a stretch on Warm Spring Creek outside Mackey, Idaho I call The Flat Of A Thousand Rainbows. Give me either of those “ugly” flies as a dropper off an Olive dun and I’ll stand there and catch those 15-18 inch rainbows (with a few Kokanee thrown in) til the cows come home.

Either version would make a dandy Sulphur.

I tie something similar with Seal’s fur and split to fish in the surface film.

Re: Head Cement; I need a New Source

JohnMD you have to consider what shipping is going to cost you. Yes you can find them cheaper online but after you tack on another 5 bucks for shipping are they still cheaper that buying one locally? Just a thought My last visit to Hobby Lobby revealed a 3-pack of applicator bottles for under $3, a...

Re: Head question

I believe it was Datus Proper who advocated using artist’s varnish.
A 2.5 oz bottle of Windsor Newton costs about $6-7 at Hobby Lobby or $9-10 at an art supply shop.
