Once the fly is wet, I doubt the fish care how pretty the hackle is, or how it was tied in. That being said, with the ability of anyone being able to take decent photos and videos of their creation's, appearance is paramount when showing them to other fly tier's. I am all about tails (shucks) on Soft Hackles but not on these.
