Good example there. Experimenting with different colored Crystal Chenille one can get fairly close to mimicking the color of most river substrates. For example, one strand of Orange and one of Pink came very close to duplicating the sand on the lower Fryingpan and Roaring Fork Rivers here in Western...

I agree. Just because it has UV reflective materials does not mean it is more effective.

For most of my tying I use Wholesale Fly Company hooks. I can not prove it, but I believe they are the Old Dai-Riki hooks. At 7.00 per 100, they are a great value. Here is a link: https://www.wholesaleflycompany.com/ In my opinion, and that is all it is, they are better or equal to most of the brand...

The reasons I hate people, that hate the 200R are .....

No thanks. I have been down this path before. It can get terribly ugly. Almost as much as fishing the Reddds, or going with barbed hooks. 👍

Most all of my Orange, Chartreuse, Pink and even some white materials are UV reflective. They do not Glow in the Dark, but they do reflect UV light. I have never thought trout hit at those colors because of their UV reflective qualities. I always thought they hit because they colors are attractors. ...
