Re: Muskrat Dubbing the easy way

Just came across this topic! I just bought a couple of Muskrat skins and was thinking that i should try and shaving one into different batches of dubbing. I might need to go get an electric groomer now!! Thanks!

Re: Variegated Golden Stone Flymph

Definitely a wonderful pattern! We have a lot of golden stones on the streams in NE Pa! I'll give this a try. The two dubbing loop idea has a great look to it! I guess you could probably do these ahead of time? Thanks Bill for the post!

Re: Tying pre dubbed bodies

I do have to admit that the first few bodies that I spun I was using plain thread. Now that Im getting comfortable using the block and figuring out how much dubbing to use, i'm more confident to use silk thread. I know that there's still plenty to learn and to experiment.

Tying pre dubbed bodies

Good day all!! Well I've been making some traditional dubbing body ropes. I have been making good progress on different colors. I sat down at the desk last night to spin a few more and the wax, "Custom" formula which is supposed to be the original formula of Leisenring and Hidy according t...
