Re: Hare Duns

The hooks seem like good hooks. I am still partial to bronze and not a big fan yet of the turned up point you see in some of these new designs. Although the Firehole seem to be less turned up than most. Glad you guys are enjoying them. Thanks for the feedback. I see what you mean about the points, ...

Re: your honest opinion

Well, to be completely honest with you; it’s looks fantastic.
Good job!

I’ve tied flies for 25 yrs+ and I’d be happy with that result.

Re: Finicky grayling

Grayling is on my list this year. They can be found high up on the Cache La Poudre River, and I am anxious and exited to catch one. I have heard to fish with smaller flies, and if they miss the take be patient because they are known to try again. What sizes would you recommend for these fish? While...

Finicky grayling

Another feather in the hat for the flymph. The other day I saw the first baetis emergence this year on my home stream, at least the first that the fish responded well to. Plenty of grayling rising and the vast majority of them refusing the winged adult. I’ve seen this on numerous occasions, not only...

And sure enough that fly outdid everything else on that day. He usually fished them on the dropper with an unweighted SH on the...

Re: Dark Hendrickson Flymph

Pure poetry to my eyes. Nice mix of dubbing, love the brassy hue of the hackle. That fly should look even better in the water.
