Ray, the hackle work on the fly is amazing. I can't tell if you tied it off behind the eye if the hook or near the thorax area.

Yeah, I know that Pritt's says a "sparse dubbing of Hare's ear" but the way I splash the water, I better use more than just a sparse dubbing or I'd end up with a Woodcock & Orange, eh?! I have a question on the hackle. When using hackle that clumps together like on these flies, will t...

This so far is my all time soft hacked fly. The browns on the Saint Vrain hit these better than any other fly I have used, no matter what type of fly it is.

Tie a box full and go fish.

Brilliantly tied. The ribbing looks good on it. I think I will try it with black wire just to see how it stands out.
