Re: Max Canyon Steelhead Fly

Great looking fly no matter how it's positioned.

What hook is that?

Re: PT/BWO Transition Flymph

I'm sold. This fly sounds as good as it looks, so I'm going to have to tie up a bunch.

Re: An evening on the river

Great looking fish and fly. I'd give $100 to catch fish like that here, but our creeks don't hold such nice sized fish as you caught.

Well done.

Re: Rolled Muddler

That's a nice looking fly. I need to get over my fear of using deer hair because I think I use too much at one time and mess things up.

Re: Soft Hackles

I also use soft hackled flies when Czech nymphing. It's a great way to key on what the fish really want. I find if the fish keep taking the soft hackled flies I then switch out the nymph and fish a duo soft hackle rig.

Re: March brown?

You won't be getting any complaints from me. It's a beautiful looking fly. Good for you to reach for the bleachers or think out of the box like you did.

Fly tying is only limited to your imagination.

Re: Gray Ghost Soft Hackle

That's a cool looking fly. I had to look at the body a few times and re-read the dressing for it. I have to say using clear beads like that for the body is different, but I don't get out much.

Either way, I like it. But wouldn't all those beads make it sink too deep? Rookie question.
