A quick follow up. My tiny shrink tubing arrived and I installed it. Problem solved, the tool functions as it should!

Now while they might be aware of the thread cutting problem, but it appears they have not yet addressed the issue......I managed to cut the Uni 8/0 four or five times. I thought about deburring...
