When looking for these do I put in "waterhen"? I always see you guys posting the flies and am getting partial to the dainty lil things but can't find them.

I grew up with a kid that raised those funky chickens. He had one of the birds that had a physical problem and every time it got excited it would faint. Needless to say, as a preteen brat I would find every opportunity I could to "scare the bird" and laugh my rear off when it fell over......

MM, I will definitely have to try the "tail" thing for a shrimpy pattern. Apparently the different shrimp flies are killer for salmon here...thanks for the heads up!

Thanks everyone. William I finished the body , tied in the hackle, wrapped the hackle forward towards the eye, then brought the thread through the hackle to the eye and added a few wraps to force the hackle backwards.
