Re: Struggling
Redietz that river would be the Damdochax River fished by Hanna Belford head guide and owner of Damdochax River Lodge. It is 17 miles of pristine waters. You have to fly in my bush plane and you'd be the only person on that whole river filled with steelhead. Other trout near by. But since I don't do...

Re: Struggling
Hank my question is the same as posted. So let me ask it one more time. :D If you were on a island, flanked by wildly full trout rivers, and you could only have two each of each of following, aside form your best mate, food and beer, what would it be. Pick two types of hook. Two type of hackle. Two ...

Re: Struggling

Struggling
There is little money to be spent on so many tying supplies and I'm sure the subject has been breached before, but please humor me. If given a choice which would you use:
you can only pick two in each category:
Hook
Hackle
Dubbing
Thread color
I know, difficult.
Thank you
Ariel

Re: Six Spiders
I agree with Nanutripr. Very nice. I also like the short body and wide gape.

Re: Trico #1 (Nemes)
Just finished reading Nemes Soft Hackle/tiny Hackle yesterday and saw these in print. You did a perfect job. Now that I have photo reference I'll tie me up a few and wait for a weather change.

Proposal
I would like to propose a thread of new sections. Maybe titled Memories or something more entertaining. One this thread we can do exactly as Otter did, take the road down memory lane. We could post short essays on our experiences, how we found fly fishing or wet flys, how we fell in the water, tangl...

Stunning in its simplicity. An absolutely perfect tie. A new fly I presume?

I understand. Thank you. I will be tying a yellow and partridge with the segmentation made from twisted thread. I'll try to photo and send.
