I'd be very tempted to fish this as a micro leech pattern (tiny streamer). There is a crystal clear spring creek that has weedbeds that can be difficult to fish. I bet this pattern would pull some nice trout out of their ambush holes. The trick with these type flies is to dunk them under and squeeze...
Do you lengthen the tail fibers as well? I've had really good luck with longer pheasant tail fibers for the tail, and a hackle wrapped at the back. (variation of the CS pattern)
