Rainbow Warrior

Greeting all, this past year this Rainbow Warrier has been stellar fishing for Browns & Cutties up here in Alberta. Paired with a Leisenring Lift it's been deadly.

Easter & Grouse Walking through a dollar store, I saw big bags of this stuff used for Easter baskets. Picked up the pink purple and yellow. its like flashabu but stronger. Added a bit of Peacock dubbin, Will try swinging it this spring. http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq127/LornceLornce/IMG_2...

There are times that I fish only winged wets. I've had browns key in on them. I am also of the belief that it imitates the adult version. One thing that I have noticed, I will normally catch larger browns on winged wets, but perhaps that's a Canadian thing.

In my early days, in the sixties, Gramps and Dad would fish winged and wingless wets for steelhead in BC. Mostly Coachman, big Professors and the like.

I do like to get out yearly to a a few grouse and perhaps a pheasant or two. Nice to walk the woods and exercise the over and under.

Here's a tip about this method, be sure to use fresh herl, if it is sun bleached or told and dry it will break easily.
