Re: Rio "Slinky Indicator"

Howdy All;

George Daniel in his book "Dynamic Nymphing: Tactics, Techniques, and Flies from Around the World"
mentioned the slinky indicator but I'm thinking he referred to them as from Czechoslovakia. May be

Re: emergers

Trifly, Howdy; I'm not generally one to specify anything in particular, I may offer a suggestion but I'm not a person to tell anyone anything. Let alone which fly to use. :roll: To many different subtle nuances from one area to the next. Besides, back East they don't have any concept of using much o...

Re: emergers

Trifly, Howdy; Hank can you tell me which flymph will work for his emerger dilemma? Sorry it took so long to reply. No, I couldn't recommend a particular Flymph to to use as I'm not familiar with Nova Scotia or the subtle color changes of the bugs in that area. It's a far cry from the Southwest dese...

Re: emergers

raven4ns, Howdy; Thank you, hankaye, I still have much to learn when it comes to Flymph's and soft hackles in general. Hank do you know of a site that lists Flymphs and their recipes? I have been making the mistake of grouping Flymphs with soft hackles in general which appears not to be the case. Th...

Re: emergers

raven4ns, Howdy; You mentioned a host of different types and styles in a short mouth full of words didn't see the name Flymph once. A properly tyed Flymph that would be. Here's a link that Old Hat (Carl), put together awhile back. Page 2 upper Left corner has the definition. Please, enjoy. http://ww...

Re: Tying a Black & Purple

raven4ns, Howdy;

When you wrote " I'm not familiar with that term "shucked". " you neglected to
spell Shucked with a capitol S as would be proper for someone's last name such
as, ... perhaps, Bill Shuck ??? A play on words as it were... :lol:
