DarrellP , Howdy; Who hasn't fished for Bluegill/panfish :?: Time Honored phase for development for mankind. It's how I (sorta), learned to fly cast. IMO, there are most likely a lot of folks that keep their casting 'skills' sharp while chuckin' panfish bugs when trouts are not available or off lim...

I wouldn't be to worried about the Borax to much, a quick search found this;
