Photos of vices in my 1941 copy are credited to Jack Cameron and George E. Deininger. It isn't clear to me who these vices belong to. They don't look quite the same as Jim's vice. This proves nothing.

Are you asking me, Karsten? I like both skinny and chubby when they are well tied. You have no trouble to please me, pleasing yourself seems to be more difficult. But yes, I would prefer a brown head if I were picky. Dark brown.

I would never be able to tie something like that in those sizes. No matter what size, I would be challenged. It must be either the seal or the camera. I really like the sweeping lines in the fly. What hook did you use?
