Re: Sneck bend hooks.

Tom,
I agree with Roadkill! Yours is a great looking pattern! Snipe and Purple! It doesn't get much better than this!
I also like the look of the Sneck Bend Hooks! Something just pops with this hook! It says, "look at this iron!"

Re: My 1st Wooden-spool Pearsall's Gossamer

Ken, Fantastic score for sure! You are absolutely right about the subtle changes thru the years of the color of the silks! Particularly olive! Tying with wooden spooled Pearsall's is a kick in itself! I think it brings us ever closer to tying with our ancestors! Who knows.....perhaps one of the wood...

Wow Bill!
More nice looking caddis patterns! I particularly like the body work on both! These look like the real McCoy! The Eurasian dove looks good against each dubbed body! Nice combination Bill!

Re: Fine Dubbing that brushes out?

Fellows,
These are really rock solid dubbing combinations! Craig, I hope you find them as useful as I do! Ah, proportions! Keep track of them as you experiment! Once you find the right recipe, write it down! Then blend a bushel basket of it!
