Re: Generic Green Drakes
Pretty cool looking nymphs Wayne! They have just got to catch a trout! I love the contrasting copper colored strip on the back! That has to be a hot spot (trigger) to a watchful trout or salmon!
Great work friend! We wanna see more!

Re: Silk Color
Rex, How nice it is to hear from you again! How have you been? Silk color is usually determined by the pattern you wish to create! I have been re-reading Skues and he talks about how important it is to have your silk "harmonize" with the fur that you are using to make the pre-spun bodies w...

Re: Generic Spring Caddis
Ya know Dana, I have never had a bunch of luck either when fishing purple patterns! I don't know why! On a similar way, when I spin fish (is it OK to say that here?) with stick baits, etc., purple is the hot color. Purple over silver sided bodies! I realize that larger baits and smaller flies are no...

Re: Sanders' March Brown Soft Hackle (tyed by DOUGSDEN)
Partsman Mike, I forgot to answer your question above about which dubbing I used in the above patterns. Sorry so late! I used Hareline Dubbin brand - Krystal Dub Olive Brown #KD265. It is a very close substitute for Carl's original recipe which is tucked away in my pre-packs box in the closet. It is...
