Re: Tai Chi Kebari

I read that book years ago and found the stream of consciousness very unzen like. Another book from that era, "Trout Fishing in America", is not about trout fishing. Lol, I couldn't get past the first 100 pages of 'Zen' so I put it down and then segued right into the very Richard Brautigan book you...

Re: Tai Chi Kebari

I'm always leery of anything attached to the word 'Zen' these days. I had a reading class in HS and I brought 'Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance' to read. The teacher, perhaps knowing of my less than stellar academic record said "You know that's not a service manual, right?" "Zen and the art...

We sold off the big farm about 5 years ago and I moved down the road 4 miles to this smaller one. In packing up the tying room I dug down through layers of long forgotten...

Ray, I don't suppose we could impose upon you and ask for a 'Drowned Grasshopper' tutorial could we? That's the best looking hopper pattern I've seen in awhile.

Re: North Country spider article

Bill, the colors you've imparted to your wool are remarkable; the historical component is fascinating. It never would have occurred to me to wonder how many colors were used in creating the Bayeux tapestry. The information you're giving us is wonderful. It dovetails so well to what we know (or don't...

Re: North Country spider article

What I think I know of the mysteries surrounding Berners comes from McDonald as well. There was also a paper put out by the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville entitled "A Flourynge Aege: Tracing the Sacred and the Secular in the Book of St.Albans" by Allison Treese. https://scholarworks.uark.edu...
