Re: Tups Flymph

Its not exact. 50/50 pink and yellow mohair wool with a small amount of hare's cheek added. The mohair is hard to mix fluidly so some flies will be a little more yellow and some a little more pink. But yes, when you mix pink and yellow you will get orange. Basic color wheel. No loop wing. All water...

Ray, that’s a classic in the making. Let ‘em shed! What a cool gift.

Also, that’s dead ringer for a caddis pupa I see in the fall in northern PA on Kettle. Don’t lose them all.
+1

There are several caddis larva and a Fall caddis pupa that Puppy Pupa would work for.

Welcome back. William.

Pink and Yellow wool with a pinch of hare's cheek

I've seen a picture showing YLI #242 (Pinky Brown) as a good match for Pearsall's Ash (#10).

Tight Lines- Ken
Ah, I almost forgot. How is this?

We used to have a gorgerous, darker colored german shepherd and he used to try to run away when he saw me coming with brush and scissors.

Re: YLI Silk thread junkie

YLI 218 looks pretty darn close to Pearsall's Gossamer Olive #16.

Hen hackle color names

What dolors would you call these three hen capes? The "light cree" and "cree" hen capes came from the UK and were labeled as such. The Barred Ginger hen cape is a Keough hen cape. I like all three hen capes. At times when searching the web for capes to buy I find it difficult finding exactly what I ...

Re: YLI Silk thread junkie

John, Any chance you could post a list of YLI silk numbers (color names) as they correspond to the list of silk numbers (color names) for Pearsall's Gossamer? Thanks- Ken Ken, I don't have all the colors of Pearsall's Gossamer nor did I buy the YLI silk for that reason. This is the first Winter whe...
