I did ok today. I was using a #24 purple and starling and a #20 purple and partridge as a trailing fly. Overall, I had a great time and caught about a dozen fish. Most of them were browns,which was nice and the purple and partridge tied on # 19 was the ticket. I plan on going again tomorrow.

Swinging soft hackles
Well, it has been a while but I am going to swing some soft hackle flies today on the South Holston with my switch rod. I will add to this post later tonight. I am going to start of with a purple and partridge and go from there.

Thanks and it is nice to start posting again. The vise is a Damaseal vise, my fried Faruk made it for me and I just started tying on it a few days ago.

It started snowing at lunch and the shut down the university, so I came home and tied a quick fly. I was just thinking of summer fishing on the SOHO. Sorry for the bad picture, I took it with my cell phone.
