An accepted substitute for fieldfare.The back and rump feathers are dun colored with a brownish list to them.

The fly is a North Country pattern taken from T.E. Pritt's book North Country Flies plate no.1 fly no.6.

The wing on this fly calls for fieldfare rump.I substituted mountain quail rump because of its lovely brownish dun color.The legs are golden plover.The fly is tied on a size 16 Daiichi hook no.1480.
