I use Daiichi hooks a lot, and have not noticed any issues with hook quality. However, I cannot attest to when the hooks were made. Dana - Hijack away. If you find the video, feel free to post a link since it is related to working with CDC feathers. By the way, being a sucker for gadgets, I already have the MPJ tools. :D My next experiment will be using the MPJ CDC tool, along with a Clark's Spinning Block, to create dubbing/CDC...

All of the wing sets I’ve purchased came are a set of left/right wings. I’m not sure if they are all matched sets (each set from individual birds). Not sure how vendors keeps track of these things.

The blended color shuck just looks so natural to me, it builds my confidence in the pattern. Confidence may help, but ultimately the fish decide. :twisted: all part of the fun. :D

Thanks guys. I had expected the CDC to resist wetting more than it did. I was expecting the CDC fibers to envelop the body in an air bubble (which it did for a short time) but after a few dunks under the surface, the fibers did not trap air very well. Perhaps the natural oils are gone from the feath...
