Re: Egan's Red Dart

Joaniebo, Wow! These are incredible! I don't know about the trout in your neighborhood but I know a few bluegill that would fall prey and feel pretty silly about it! Unfortunately, I am troutless but still very blessed with great (warm) waters and willing blue-gators! Yes, Egan's Red Dart would do w...

Bill,
Yet another fine example of your unlimited talents behind the vice! The pattern above is simply amazing! Ray said it best so, all I can say is "ditto"! Wow! I am so glad you are our friend!

Re: Red Fox Squirrel Hair Nymph

Fellows, I just read the above thread and I found it fascinating! Dave Whitlock will be proud of the excellent nymph you have tied and showed! I know I am! Let me relate how ironic this whole situation is! On Monday when I got to work, my hunting/trapping co-worker friend Dan presented me with a bea...

Bill & Ray, What a great combination of tying skills by Bill and photography and tutorial set up by Ray! It is clear, easy to follow, and a sheer joy to watch and learn! Bill, you need to start working on your video series of all the wonderful patterns you have gifted to us and the entire tying worl...

Re: Partridge & Yellow

Excellent, excellent stuff Steve! I was particularly glad to see the "soaked" photo of your beautiful pattern! It makes all the difference! I also loved the prose in your above piece! Two big thumbs up on that one!

Re: Hen Capes

John,
The two hen capes you show above are absolutely gorgeous! I tie a favored flymph called a "Tan Flymph" which uses the hackles you feature on the left hand cape. I am slobbering over them both! A great score indeed!

Re: quill body hot spot scores

Great looking pattern ronr! And, I am glad it was so successful for you! If we think back on our own fly fishing beginnings, there was one or two instances or peoples that put us over the edge as far as seeing the light! After this, our enthusiasm soared and things were never the same! I hope you ha...

This is such a cool bobbin! The cream comes to the surface in this craft as well as others! It is a true pleasure looking at it! I can't imagine owning it as well!
Wonderful artwork Dana! Thank you so very much for posting it! It is gorgeous!

Re: Doug Does Dubbing

Hi guys! Daringduffer, a great story about the late Willowhead (I miss him a bunch!). Also interesting is your using the cable tie the way you did! I understand about sweeping the piece when not needed! Mine simply sweeps downward and out of the way! I appreciate your comments about my tying! It's n...
