Right on with what these guys said. Nevertheless, you'll be able to make some killer MB flymphs with some of the back fur and the tawny brown flank fur mixed together.

John's right - The beads from CA are very nice quality. I will say though... his source is sometimes wonky with supply.

Looking at it I would've thought there was CDC incorporated into the construction but, that's just a nice cape. Well done.

That isn't to say a turn of CDC wouldn't hurt. :twisted:

I'm with Mr. Shuck on this one.

In today's hipster invasion of the fly tying and fishing realm, I'm afraid that group refers to anything with a partridge hackle or hen hackle.. as soft hackle. Even with a bead!

Saw this years ago and immediately grabbed my stuff and drove out to a nearby stream to try the method. Didn't catch a thing. In fact, I remember getting some frustrated because once you're flies are tied on (depending on the knot you use) they're on for good. I wanted to swap out a bunch of times b...
