Re: Sharpie Dressed Caddis

What beautiful flies.
The contrast of colors used in all of them really goes well together.
Amazing!

Re: HOOK REVIEWS hopefully from many here on this forum

Orvis hooks are made by Daiichi. With the hundreds of Mustads I have used I think I have broken just a handful of hooks. That's over thirty years of using them. Oh yea I've never broken the hook itself, just sometimes the barb shatters when trying to flatten it. And Kelly, I was just typing SH for ...

Re: HOOK REVIEWS hopefully from many here on this forum

Orvis's beadhead hooks are worth a try, I like using them for SH's. Old Mustad's are great too but, If you like to fish barbless flattening these can be hard due to them being mostly hollow. If you aren't careful they just break and cause the barb to be very rigid and possibly harming the trout even...

Re: What is a 'Spider'

This is a great topic and gets me thinking. In my eyes what defines a spider fly is how sparse the dressings are, you know? I dunno, that's just my opinion. I can't even remember the first time I read about this style of fly... must have been when I was 14 or so (I'm 24), I have so many damn books h...

Re: What rod do you use?

I've never really got a chance to use a boo rod for any type of fishing but, I've used glass before and loved it. I've also built a rod on a Tiger Eye blank which has a progressive action, 7'4 3/4wt for the streams in my local area and that preforms great. Above all though, I love my Cortland Brook....

Re: Halloween Hackle

I'll second what DUBBN said about the fly being good for a caddis emerger/pupa.
Looks great!
