Re: “Iron Dun flymph”

Re: Common Moorhen
So what I'm understanding is, we can order skins of birds from other countries that's illegal to sell here?
Is there a link that shows what birds are legal and illegal to buy here in the US?

Gingerbread
Since it's the holiday season, one of the things I like best is when my wife bakes soft gingerbread cookies. Stick with me here for a second. Re: *&%#* fly line !!!
bearmountain, I have also noticed this problem of a sinking tip on a floating line, especially when cast downstream. Cleaning the line and treating with a line dressing offers a temporary cure. However, there is one floating line I have that does not sink - it is an Airflo Super-Dri River and Strea...

Awesome doesn't describe it good enough. Those are brilliantly tied. I wish my proportions were exact as yours, but it's something I continue to struggle with from time to time.
Keep showing us your great looking flies.

Re: Upstream Wet Fly

I have fished both styles, upstream and swinging downstream. After years of doing so, I have come to the conclusion from my own experience that: 1. You will c...

Fantastic looking fly.
Question. How does one know what material to use when the original material is no longer allowed or available to get?

Re: Just Starting - Hen Capes Brand/Type?
Ray just gave you an excellent example of what's out there, and what to expect. I have tied with Whiting hen, Whiting Herbert Miner, Metz and Collins Hackle, and really, you can't go wrong with any of them. Ray is right though about the Collins not being as clean as the others and I found their barb...

What's your opinion on the Gaelic Supreme hooks? I thought about buying some, but there was something I read about them that made me change my mind.
