hankaye the sandhill crane has many MANY useful feathers(in my best David Attenborough voice). Allegedly, they are good to eat. Maybe you could find a hunt club nearby ?? Years back, someone showed me different feathers from this bird. They were so nice and useful, the memory has stayed with me ever...

With regard to the ribbing you used for this pattern: what type and shade of silk did you use ? Is it a buttonhole twist ??
I reall do like the color, it is the perfect shade for a Breadcrust...
