Patterns are pretty simple but keep in mind that depending on where you live the colorization will differ. Out here in Utah I've seen Olives that have been brown, brown/greenish, even a light blue/gray. I usually try to get a sample and take it home and try to create a pattern based on the waters I ...

found a large zip lock bag with black laced hen necks in yellow, orange, green and pink. Forgot I had them out there. The fly tying gods must be smiling on me. I'll be tying a few of thos, Hans. Oh Ron it appears that you been infected. There is no cure. Post up some pics when you got a few done. :o
