Re: leisenring lift

The set motion is clearer with all this input. Thanks Lance for the inclusion of text. But I thought the Leisenring Lift was a directly upstream cast, not and across cast. As for the induced set... Raurd you make a good point. However, I see induced as a deliberate hard set at the end of the driftin...

Re: leisenring lift

The way I've employed the LL is by casting a longer leader with a 10' rod. My leader is usually 12' with a 3' tippet= 15'. I do this simply to avoid lining the fish ahead of my cast. I utilize a parachute cast with an unweighted fly made with a wool thorax and partridge hackle. I make sure the fly, ...

Re: leisenring lift

   If California had any water and I could walk this would be something I'd like to try. I have the GoPro and rods, but I'd hate to put something on YouTube that was inherently wrong just because of my inept interpretation of something I read. Within one of my favorite books in my lib...

Re: leisenring lift

I often fish what I THINK is the Leisenring Lift. I would love to actually see if 1) I am doing it correctly as I have interpreted it or 2) to see the correct way to do it. That's what I'd be looking for.

Re: Bill "tie2fish" Shuck Flymph Video Tutorials

I would like to see more Flymph tying on YouTube. Better exposure for this type of fly. Not one person I spoke to, along rivers, knew of or understood what a flymph was. Spread the word!!! Thanks for the contributions!

Re: Twisted Soft-Hackles: Light, Medium and Dark

It strange or indicative of a deeper sickness than fly tying itself, but when someone opens their fly box and I see clean organization... I swoon.... OK maybe not swoon, but I do like it!
