Re: Is This............Pearsall's 6b (Sherry Spinner)?
Once again--thanks to everyone who commented about the "color identity" of my new spool of Pearsall's Gossamer. I received 2 samples of Pearsall's Gossamer from Phil Anderson. Neatly presented, side-by side on a small card and labeled: #6b Sherry Spinner and #32 Classic Chestnut. Thanks Ph...

Gentlemen, Excellent exchange of info and learning experience. I appreciate all of you sharing your thoughts, knowledge, and experience. In the 10 months I've been active on this Forum, I've learned a lot and met some great people. It was Jim Payne who used Java Brown and Yellow (Lemon) for wrapping...

Bill,
Unfortunately, Goldenwitch doesn't show Sherry Spinner as a color you can order.
Ron,
I have Java Brown, so I know this spool isn't Java Brown.
Tom,
Thanks for the vote of confidence.
Too bad Pearsall's didn't label their spools!

Re: Is This............Pearsall's 6b (Sherry Spinner)?
DD, I''m 100% sure it's not 6a (light orange or gold). A spool of 6a came in this small batch I bought and I already have several spools of 6a for comparison. Look here and you will see 6b (Sherry Spinner) on a plastic spool: https://app.box.com/s/y34hr9vpfzs54lv2byhj3xww1dhicpdi When I hold this sp...

Question About Jim Leisenring's Family
Over on the Classic Fly Rod (Bamboo) Forum, someone posted a question about a rod they have and the possibility it belonged to Jim Leisenring's family (perhaps father and/or grandfather). I thought someone on the Flymph Forum may be able to provide an answer. Here is the question: I have a Bangor Le...

Wet Fly / Soft Hackle Rod
Does anyone here use a 9' Heddon 2F bamboo rod for fishing wet flies and soft hackles? I'm considering buying 1 and would be interested in your comments.
Thanks- Ken

Re: JUPITER WET FLY
Thanks to Allen McGee for sending the list of materials and pictures for his version of the Jupiter Mayfly and to Carl for posting these pictures. Lou, Since you know it wasn't Allen fishing the Jupiter Mayfly on the Gallitan, the mystery continues. Especially since the guy on the Gallitan said his ...
