Hi all - Testing my picture posting abilities. If all goes well you should be looking at my Iron Blue Dun variation. I'm easy going...likes and dislikes always welcome. This fly has really produced for me all year round, for a couple years now, since I started tying it. I do enjoy tying the traditio...

Re: Peacock Attractor

Nice fly. I can attest to the fact that peacock bodies and blue peacock hackles do very well on lakes here in Oregon and also the Kamloops area of BC.

Re: Crunchy Damsel

Aaron - just an addition. Wonderful fly buy the way. Have you tried working with ostrich herl. I tie an almost identical pattern for damsels and use ostrich herl for the tail and body. I usually wrap with 3 strands of herl and use about 3-5 tips for the tail. It should give you a smaller build up. I...

Re: swinging flymphs with a switch rod?

I use a 10'6" 5/6 Beulah for my multiple rigged wet fly fishing. I enjoy it greatly. The small butt end is just enough to take the load off the arms, it has medium fast action to manipulate the flies and just enough length for the water I fish. As Mike said a while ago it is my stillwater rod, ...

Re: Ray's Gray Lady

Lovely fly Ray. The Coq and speckled india hen complement each other well. Do you have specific hatch in mind with this one? Curious.
