Very nice. Tying on fur collars is one technique that I am really terrible at. Yours look amazing!

Re: F.M. Walbran's Anglers Annual (1894)

Thanks for posting this Ray. Great info. I've been downloading public domain pdf books from Google books for several years. Couldn't find this one. I've downloaded well over 200 books. Maybe just for I-Pads/Macs? EDIT: I found it, but as Piscatorial Hints by Well Known Writers. Thanks again for post...

Re: Iso Nymph

I didn't have any mallard, but I did have some grouse wings, so that is what I used for the wing case for REDO. The abdomen is a 2 to 1 mix or muskrat and red wool. RickA - Thanks for the heads up on the book and the missing links to the recipe. Gonna look it. https://i.postimg.cc/nV6z4Q4H/YES.jpg

It looks like Dette version may have a trimmed mallard wing cover (guess).
Thanks for the observation about the wing casing. I don't have any mallard wings, but I'll look for something else that might work. That would make splitting the partridge a lot easier.

Iso Nymph

So, this is my attempt at the Dette Iso Nymph. Needless to say the top is the Dette. I don't have a recipe, so I am faking it. Sorry, my picture taking is definitely lacking. After seeing Ray's Fiery Brown/Sunset fly, I just wanted to try Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift - 186 Sunset for this fly. http...

Re: PP&J's (Partridge-Peacock and Jamieson's)

Greg - These we’re tyed with an unsplit strand of yarn. I tye it in all the way to the barb of the hook, then wind it forward in one layer. For a size 10 hook (or larger), there is no need to split the strands of yarn. I think the POP series is in the tutorial section. https://flymphforum.com/viewt...

Re: PP&J's (Partridge-Peacock and Jamieson's)

Very nice, thanks for posting Ray! Did you use just 1 strand? I just ordered some more yarn. It just NEVER ends...

OK, I'm gonna bite. I'm fairly new here, what is the POP series?
