Re: The Grey Partridge.
Nicely done. Is it the light partridge hackle where the name of the fly comes from?

Re: Safe Material Storage
I remember on another forum the subject of bug invasion came up. Everyone who had their hackles invaded by these little buggers lived where it's more humid than here in Colorado. I brought that up in the post and everyone thought that might be part of it. So just out of curiosity, where do you live ...

Re: Size 12 Grub
I have to be honest here. When I opened up the post and saw that grub for the first second, I said to myself, that's gross looking. But then I realized how awesome it really is with the lateral line, the ribbing that looks like veins and the coloring along with the whiter butt section of the grub. T...

That's a wild looking fly, Tom. The wings look awesome on it too.
I have the book North Country Flies, and I have been meaning to give it a good read this winter.

Re: Pritts Greentail
Very nice Bob. Love em ! I was thinking of tying one incorrectly with the peacock head but I felt I didn’t have enough room to keep things looking proportionate. The green silk body would have gotten shorten and not looked right at least to me . Lol I think the fly looks fine. Maybe a touch too lon...

Re: Lunch break
I think they look awesome and the one with the reddish head I like the best because it stands out and still goes with the color scheme.
I also use Partridge hooks. The SUD2's and G3A/LY's are my go to wet hooks along with the Partridge PWW hooks.

Re: P & O. using Morus silk 6b
I wouldn't beat yourself up about it because the fly itself looks impressive. I like the color of the silk with that hackle,NightWatchman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 9:49 am So I probably made the mistake of choosing 6b and not 6a. Thanks for the feedback fellas.

Re: More Glass Bead Kebari
Thanks guys. I tie in the hackle by the stem 90 degrees to the shank immediately behind the bead; after wrapping the desired amount of hackle I tie off the waste end in open spirals wrapping as far down the hook as you'd like before breaking it off; I then wrap the dubbing (muskrat in this case) up...
