Amazing day on the Gunnison. With an overcast sky all day long and slightly cooler temperatures, I thought the fish would be hitting soft hackles on the swing. Nope, they wanted a Redquill nymph in size 14. There is a lot of moss to fight through. When I did, I was rewarded nicely. https://i.postimg...

From November thru March, the size 16 Olive midge larva is KING for me on the Colorado and Gunnison rivers. Sometimes they will take a size 18, and sometimes a 14.
