Re: Wet fly twist on a classic dry
Thanks, guys. Letumgo- the moose mane is a fairly durable material. They can break when tying off, but like with starling, a little finesse goes a long way. I have never had one break when wrapping. I trim them an inch or two up from the tip, when they become thicker and the black or white color bec...

I agree with the above replies. Nice work. Thanks for keeping classic patterns alive. Art on a hook. I have never tied according to classic recipes by using silk. It’s great people are adhering to the old patterns.

Joaniebo- nice ties and photo. Thanks for citing the originator. I like the simplicity of the old patterns. To me, they’re art. Always enjoy your posts- they’re a great model and motivation to tie better. What lighting are you using in your photos?

Re: Angler's Club Bulletin Flymphs
I agree with Senecalaker. I love the old patterns. Hankaye- I used Davie McPhail’s YouTube videos to get me started. Sometimes I get them on the first try, most of them time it takes several tries. Now, just need to see if they work...

Re: Breadcrust
Trifly- I often browse the forum on a slow minute at work, then chaos occurs and I forget to reply. Anyway, that is a very cool looking pattern and a great photo. I will be getting some full spectrum lamps to start taking good pics. What do you use for lighting and backdrop?

Re: Split-thread spring caddis
I’ve been researching the Breadcrust. I see lots of variation. What is the original pattern? What is a proper breadcrust?
