Re: Permanent Marker Pens - Does anyone use them on hackle?
I haven't had much good luck on using the markers on feathers but have used them on some threads for a color change. My biggest use is the red Prismacolor pen on hare's ear to make a reddish colored hare's ear dubbing to tie the Edmonds' & Lee's 8b March Browns!

Re: Golden Plover Available; Yes in the USA!
Ken When the recent pic was posted, I thought it looked a little smaller than those I’ve seen before so I did a Google search and saw that there was an American Golden Plover,,,, never knew that until now. I have no idea what the difference, if any, there is between the two. Heck, looks good and I d...

I could be wrong (and probably am) but it looks like your sh\kin might be an "American Golden Plover" hen. Me thinks the AGP might be a little smaller than the European Golden Plover. Either way, nice looking bird that should provide some good hackles.

Re: “Pritt’s Water Cricket” Part 2
Recently, I've decided that when I tie spiders that I'd try to do 12 - 18 of each dressing, figuring by the time I got done, the last few would look pretty decent!NightWatchman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 3:59 pm Those look great Bob but I would never want to tie up as many as that as
they would undoubtedly keep me up all night !

Re: “Pritt’s Water Cricket” Part 2
After watching Rob Smith's YouTube video, I just had to tie a few of Pritt's Water Crickets. I think it's one of the prettiest flies I've ever tried to tie. Have never fished a Water Cricket, but "hopefully" will be able this year!

Re: Old Partridge Hooks
Just a note that the above flies were tied on the OLD Partridge-of-Redditch hooks from 20+ years ago, The newer Partridge hooks / designations can be quite different from what were made / sold a few decades back. The description from the above link shows the L2A hook as : "L2A Capt Hamilton wet...
