That hook is a Partridge Grey Shadow Emerger GRS 12ST size 18 but to me it seems more like a 16.

Me too! Although I never catch fish with a purple fly....EVER. It’s like the curse for me :x yeah, I laughed the first time I saw a purple haze too. What the heck is that????
