Re: Rough Stream Nymph

I loved the story as well as the photos of the fly. What a great pattern.

His cat probably looked like this. That is why I named my cat "Dubbing". She's gotten used to it, but most of the good fur is gone...

Re: Wet silk

It's dramatic how much the color changes when the silk is wet. Great post.

Re: CDL Flymph

Handsome fly Carl. I recently started using the CDL as a collar material and love the look. It has a nice springiness that should work well when fished.

The proportions, colors and hook are all perfect.

Re: Sudden Death

I hope it was just creativity, not a recent loss that inspired the name for this fly. I love the idea of using the marabou for the thorax. Makes for a beautiful thorax.

My son and I are both going thru it now. Not fun. Hope your all feeling better soon.

Nice fly, though.

Re: Picric Dyed Soft Hackle

Very nice VERN-O! I bet the steelhead will eat them up like candy.

If you dyed that stuff yourself, you may want to also dye up a hare's mask and part of a hungarian partridge skin as well...
