Re: Epting

Norm, your floss bodies are just unbelievable. Do you burnish them?

Re: Polka

Beautiful fly, Norm, but now I keep hearing Lawrence Welk and his champagne music. A one and a two.

Re: Greenwell Spiders

I favor primrose Pearsall's Gossamer. Sometimes I wax it with dark cobbler's wax, sometimes I don't. Effective fly either way. I usually tie it on a size 14 1XS hook like a Daiichi 1640.

Re: Peacock and Starling (Glanros / Henwing Style)

Ron - Me too. :D ;) I found starling to be much more delicate than hen hackle. If I tried to muscle it around I would inadvertently break it off. Re: Silk Color

I don't remember where I saw it (I'm old, gimme a break), but someone did a nice photo story of silk colors, both wet and dry, and waxed and not waxed. Wish I could remember where that was. Knowing the color shifts helps immensely.

Thank you, Norm. When I started to check on it, I discovered my library was short a book. Much appreciated.
