Re: Pink Lady

Re: Doug Does Dubbing
I've been experimenting with my coffee grinder and mixing small batches with materials like sparkle yarn, ala, Gary LaFontaine. I'm sure the otter, beaver, and mink underfurs make good dubbing, but other than hare's mask, squirrel, and rabbit... what other furs should I be thinking of using. and wh...

Re: Doug Does Dubbing
A lot of beauty can be had when you ...(do it)... just right! Dougsden I faked your reply a bit. You are too modest. We have seen quite a few of your flies. In Sweden we have a saying "att sätta sitt ljus under en skäppa". You are a perfect example of what that means. dd I have asked Doug...

Re: Something with flash

Body Weave Nymph
It is possible, using an easy material weaving process, to create an interesting body pattern for soft hackle flies. Here are a couple shots of a soft hackle nymph made using strands of embroidery thread. The same process using other materials on differing hooks will produce a virtually unlimited va...

Re: New goodies on the way !
I asked a friend who is a fellow taxidermist in NY, if he had a woodcock in the freezer that he would be willing to part with. Well wouldn't you know it, he had two. So I have a package coming this week with them and he had a starling too, that's was throwing in the box. Lucky you! I believe there ...

Re: Partridge and Blue. Mole colour effect
Amazing photo, Martin. Looks like someone sprinkled blue fairy dust on the mole skin.
