A local tyer, Jerry Criss of LaPine, OR ties a beautiful Possum hair nymph. He has a youtube video on www.theweeklyfly.com....I think you can search for his fly on the Weekly Fly it has a list of tyers to choose from..

I've been using the wire in tubing technique to tie a variant of Landon Mayer's tube midge....it calls for x-small wire inserted into the midge tubing.... THANKS RAY...I have a ton of embroidery floss that needs organizing...I've never noticed these bobbins and the winder in my wandering around the quilt store while my wife does her shopping.... another great idea shared by Ray the solution finder!

PS those midge larva were the bomb yesterday on the Crooked River... fished them in tandem with an eggstasy egg and it was nip and tuck which fly the whitefish would take. they much preferred the brown ones over the red ones...

Finally was able to find the loop tyer in stock and received mine.. Ditto Cheesehead... tying the loop with 5x does take some practice and nimble fingers. My tool is the small size and the loops are pretty small too...might have to find one of the large size tools to get some slightly larger loops.....

thanks Wayne... sorry to interrupt the beautiful flies with the magnet stuff.. but those are great ideas for the use of the little magnets. And as usual, I will be tying your patterns with delight.

thanks Wayne... I too have tried all sorts of things... the typical magnets on split rings suck... and at different times I use a vest, a sling pack and maybe other times a waist pack... trying to find a cost effective way to keep the darn thing in place and out of the way is a bear.... so much so t...
