I just watched it as well. Very insightful. It’s true- think of all the hands that culm of bamboo passes through and all the miles. All the hands that pass over that same bamboo after the maker and then those who admire and fish it.
These are made to fish and not sit and collect dust, right?

Re: Starling & Moose
Ronr- I tied in three strands- white, black, and brown. Moistened then as I’ve had this same pack of moose mane for long as I can remember. Small bead of super glue on the thread base to be safe.

Starling & Moose
3-4 wraps of starling, three strands of moose mane (white, black, dark brown), size 16 Limerick. Small dab of super glue was applied to thread base to help the moose mane stay put. Very midgey.

Re: Who Fishes Wood?
I do! Most of my trout fishing, unless it’s very windy, then I go to graphite. My medium action bamboo just gets shut down very easily in the wind. I fished my two Heddon rods on my trip to Colorado in July. All caught on dries and a few winged wets dropped off the back. Very many fish also took the...

Re: A PMD and a Green Drake
Thanks for the input dubbin. Ron Eagle Elk- thanks! I will spin up a few of your PMD and add to the box. I caught the big Brown Drake hatch last year and it was magnificent. I think we will maybe catch the tail end of it or miss it this year. Water has dropped and clear and salmonflies showing up do...
