Works for me too. But, I would switch to a different hook other than the one pictured unless you believe in hit and miss fishing! Well tied though!

Plover Dun

Hook. Daiichi 1480 size 14.
Silk. Copper. Pearsalls chestnut #32.
Body. Copper lightly dubbed with water rat. I used pine squirrel.
Hackle. Golden Plover marginal covert feather.

I think you are 100 percent correct Ray that is a very good spot for that type of activity and in the faster water up above. That is stonefly water.
