Re: GlassJet's Midges ;)
Those are all outstanding midges Andrew. A definite must have for the fly box. Another color to try is a dark red thread, claret, wine...etc. As midges pre-hatch they have a blood rush per say and take on a red swollen look, I have done well with a red body and grizzly hackle and try to get it to ri...

Re: Pip
Mark...great pattern. I'm fond of the open hackle wraps in flymphs. This is just a great combo.

Re: Pheasant and Faux
I second the thanks Ruard. I've always thought stonefly soft hackle patterns had potential. I'm going to try some of those as well. We have a nice salmonfly hatch coming up soon that could have some possibilities. I do use large soft hackled flies for our october caddis and have done well over the p...

Re: Pheasant and Faux
I'm using this pattern for steelhead, but yet to get any steel from it. But the trout love it, even though I'm not targeting them. Not a size that I would normally use for trout. This year I have really put some time into flymphs for steelhead and have done fairly well but a lot of trout have been l...

That is a tight fly Hans. Fish catcher for sure.
