Endrick Spiders

Awhile back, a friend in the UK asked that I tie him a few Endrick Spiders to fish his local waters. When he sent me the dressing, I told him that I called these "Pheasant Tail & Partridge" soft hackles.... but that the fly is tied with a wire underbody, especially under the thorax are...

Awhile back, Pearsall's Embroidery made a batch of silk that pretty much matched the 6b color. A friend on the Classic Rod Forum sent me a spool and it was on a plastic spool. I think that Pearsall's Embroidery even included the decals used on the "regular" Pearsall plastic spools.

Thanks guys... the home made "jig" for rod wrapping has served me well in the past 15+ years. Also have a small "extension" of only one "V" to do the tip sections.

The 7' and 8' blanks are assembled but wraps don't have enough coats of spar varnish - yet!
