Re: What's your favorite hook?

Ive come to the amazing conclusion that there is no such thing as the "best" hook. Duh! It all depends on the "look" that appeals to you. I doubt if the fish care less. But the look for me at the moment is the Partridge Spider hooks. Nice and sharp and a appealing look to the fin...

Re: Condor Quills

I think I found some. I ordered a couple, hopefully they're genuine and not subs! I'll not advertise on here but if you are interested in the supplier please get in touch via pm.

I don’t suppose anyone has a few they are willing to part with? I’m of course willing to pay a reasonable price.

Re: Where to buy a Clark’s Dubbing block?

Where to buy a Clark’s Dubbing block?

I. Was hoping to buy one of those nice dubbing blocks from williamsfavorites.com but alas the web site is no more. Does anyone know where I can purchase one? I could attempt to make one but the fancy woods are what I like!

Re: Rams Scrotum wool for Tups Dubbing, it really exists!

One things for sure, Rams Scrotum hair is the essential ingredient. I suspect the Spaniel hair is only need if the Rams wool was not urined stained enough. The red could be from a couple of sources, the likely candidate being mohair the next being seal. I can understand why cream baby seal would be ...

Re: Rams Scrotum wool for Tups Dubbing, it really exists!

Looks like this has been beaten to death over on the Classic rod Forum. I might add that the Barry mentioned and who has posted there is not me! But I would still like to obtain some dubbing from the early 1900’s. A impossible task? Yes I imagine it is but there is no harm in trying
