Re: Ted Neimeyer Stripped Quills

The earliest diagram And text that I have found on this method of stripping quills is on pages 15 thru 18 in ROGER WOOLLEYS book Titled MODERN TROUT FLY DRESSING first published 1932.
Woolley mentions using Goose,Swan and Condor.
Also it seems this method was around much earlier.😃

Once you get the technique down you can change the colors of the floss for diff...

Re: Buckskin

Dubbin,
I like the translucent body on the hackled pattern, did you apply UV resin to the body?
Dana hit the nail on the head(latex Caddis larva)
from the book THE CADDIS AND THE ANGLER.
Good luck with the rehab.

hi Ken,
Thanks for the detailed information.
I have all three of Allen’s books and I met him awhile back at the IFFF in Livingston Montana.I also looked at the photo in the book and it was none of the members.I will contact Allen through his website for the patterns material list.
Thanks again,Lou

HI All, This is my first post.I am making the transition from books to the internet. While fishing YNP last year I met a guy swinging wet flies on the Gallitan River and he was doing quite well. The fly he was using was called a Jupiter Mayfly, he stated it is a wingless wet fly/flymph pattern.I have...
